Description

Drama based on the book ‘Auschwitz: A Doctor’s Eyewitness Account’ by Dr Miklos Nyiszli. Dr Nyiszli, a Hungarian Jewish man chosen by Josef Mengele to be the head pathologist at the Auschwitz concentration camp. He is forced to help with the extermination of fellow Jews in exchange for a few more months of life. Meanwhile, the Sonderkommandos, including Hoffmann, attempt to organise an armed revolt. As the rebellion is about to begin, some members of the group discover a 14-year-old girl who has miraculously survived a gassing. A catalyst for their desperate attempt at personal redemption, the men become obsessed with saving this one child, even if doing so endangers the uprising which could save thousands.
